Google's latest AI integration into their search engine is causing major issues. Users are reporting dangerous and incorrect responses, such as recommending glue in pizza sauce to prevent cheese from sliding, stating that smoking is recommended during pregnancy, and suggesting it's safe to leave dogs in hot cars.🤔
These alarming mistakes highlight significant flaws in Google's AI search capabilities that need urgent attention. The company is working on removing errors and making broader improvements to their systems based on user feedback.
OpenAI is in hot water after using a voice resembling Scarlett Johansson's for their GPT-40 demo without her permission.
While OpenAI claims they hired a voice actor with a similar voice, the public and Johansson's team are skeptical. This controversy raises questions about the ethical use of voice technology and the boundaries of AI voice replication.
If you ask me, it’s definetly NOT the same voice 🤷 What do you think?
Rumors are swirling about a potential collaboration between Apple and OpenAI to power the next version of Siri with GPT-4. This could signal a significant upgrade for Apple's voice assistant, potentially integrating advanced AI capabilities. Can you imagine? 🤞
Other potential AI-powered improvements include smart recaps, AI-generated transcripts for voice memos, on-device Spotlight search enhancements, and AI-powered writing suggestions.
One Guide : How to Use the Custom Instructions Feature on ChatGPT
In this edition, I'm excited to introduce you to a fantastic feature of ChatGPT: Custom Instructions. This feature will let you personalize how ChatGPT responds to you, making it even more helpful and relevant to your needs.
To show you just how versatile this feature is, I'll walk you through setting up and using custom instructions with a different example: a college history professor. This example it's to prove that anyone can benefit from using ChatGPT, not just business professionals.
If you're teaching, writing, or managing projects, these custom instructions can be tailored to make ChatGPT a valuable assistant in your daily tasks.
Let's jump in and explore how you can make ChatGPT work smarter for you!
Step 1: Accessing Custom Instructions
Log in to ChatGPT
Navigate to Settings:
Once logged in, find the user icon or your profile picture, typically located in the top right corner of the screen.
Click on it to open a dropdown menu.
Select Settings from the dropdown options.
Step 2: Understanding Custom Instructions
Locate Custom Instructions:
In the Settings menu, look for a section labeled Custom Instructions.
Click on it to open the custom instructions interface.
Introduction to Custom Instructions:
Custom instructions allow you to personalize how ChatGPT interacts with you. You can set preferences for how ChatGPT responds and what it should consider when generating responses.
Step 3: Setting Up Your Instructions
Input Preferences:
You will see two main sections: What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses? and How would you like ChatGPT to respond?
Example:
What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses?
- I am a college professor specializing in history.
- I am interested in innovative teaching methods and student engagement.
- Use language suitable for undergraduate students.
- Incorporate historical anecdotes and case studies where relevant.
Define Response Style:
Example:
How would you like ChatGPT to respond?
- Use a professional and friendly tone.
- Provide detailed explanations with step-by-step guides when necessary.
- Include real-world examples and historical case studies to illustrate points.
- Keep responses clear and concise, ideally under 300 words unless more detail is required.
Step 4: Saving and Using Custom Instructions
Save Your Instructions:
After filling out your preferences, click the Save button.
Your custom instructions will now be applied to all future interactions with ChatGPT.
Adjusting as Needed:
If you find that the responses are not aligning with your expectations, you can always go back to the Settings and tweak your custom instructions.
Step 5: Practical Tips for Effective Use
Be Clear and Specific:
When filling out the custom instructions, be as clear and specific as possible. The more detailed you are, the better ChatGPT can tailor its responses to your needs.
Experiment and Adjust:
Don’t hesitate to experiment with different instructions to see what works best for you. You can always adjust them based on your evolving needs.
Use for Various Scenarios:
Custom instructions can be particularly useful for different scenarios such as learning, professional communication, or casual conversation. Adapt your instructions accordingly.
Example:
- For professional communication: - Maintain a formal tone. - Focus on providing data-driven insights. - For casual conversation: - Use a relaxed and conversational tone. - Include light humor when appropriate.
By following these steps and using the provided example as a template, you'll be able to effectively use the custom instructions feature on ChatGPT to improve your interaction and get responses tailored to your preferences.
One Prompt: Capture the Perfect Shot with Midjourney
In this edition, I'm sharing a detailed prompt to help you create stunning images using Midjourney. This prompt will guide you in generating a scene like this one: (but with your own personal touch 😉)

Here’s the prompt I used to create it:
Prompt: A young photographer outdoors on the streets of New York, capturing the architectural design of a vintage building, early morning with clear weather. The specific morning light casts sharp, long shadows, emphasizing the contours and features of the building. The action unfolds in a documentary photography style, utilizing a vibrant color scheme, Leica M10-R camera, Middle shot at eye level. The setting is contemporary --ar 16:9
Customizable Prompt:

The [Lighting Condition] casts [Shadow Description], emphasizing the [Building Features]. The action unfolds in a [Photography Style] style, utilizing a [Color Scheme] color scheme, [Camera Model] camera, [Shot Type] at [Angle]. The setting is [Era] --ar 16:9
How to Fill the Placeholders:

Lighting Condition: The specific lighting during the shoot (e.g., morning light, sunset glow).
Shadow Description: How the shadows are cast (e.g., sharp, long shadows, soft, diffused shadows).
Building Features: The features being emphasized (e.g., contours, details).
Photography Style: The style of photography (e.g., documentary, artistic).
