Today at a glance:

News:

Figure, a robotics company, has partnered with OpenAI to integrate GPT-4 into their humanoid robot, "Figure 1," granting it advanced vision, speech, and hearing capabilities. Can you believe this? It's like my best friend is about to come to life!

In a recent demonstration (which you can check out in the linked video), the robot accurately identified objects and interacted with its environment, performing tasks such as providing food and cleaning a table. It even completed tasks while having a conversation! Isn't that mind-blowing?

Despite its sophisticated functions, the integration of GPT-4 does not make "Figure 1" an example of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Instead, it represents a significant advancement in applying AI to robotic technology. This is just another step towards an amazing future.

Covariant, emerging from Emeryville, California, is revolutionizing robotics by developing AI-powered robots that learn autonomously, similar to human learning. Founded by former OpenAI researchers, these robots excel in warehouse and distribution environments, performing tasks like picking, moving, and sorting with high accuracy, based on English instructions.

Integrating sensory data and AI, Covariant's robots adapt to new tasks, showcasing adaptability and sophistication in robotics. Despite facing challenges like occasional instruction misinterpretation, this technology represents a significant advance towards intelligent, adaptable robots across various sectors.

Microsoft introduces "AutoDev", an advanced AI-driven framework designed to automate complex software engineering tasks. Unlike its predecessors, AutoDev leverages multiple AI agents, each with specialized roles, to perform a wide range of coding activities—from code editing and file retrieval to testing and Git operations.

AutoDev stands out by enabling these AI agents to work collaboratively, significantly boosting the efficiency and capabilities of software development processes. Initial benchmarks reveal impressive code generation results, underscoring AutoDev's potential to transform software engineering.

This innovation suggests a shift towards more collaborative and sophisticated AI applications in software development, promising advancements beyond traditional coding tasks. As AI technology evolves, tools like AutoDev are paving the way for a future where AI's role extends into various industries, offering new possibilities and redefining professional landscapes.

One Post

Aaand, since we'll be hosting a webinar soon, I think you should get familiar with Isabella through one of her latest posts.

Her post simplifies the profound impact of content sharing. It's a reminder that making a difference starts with what we choose to share.

As a growth mentor, I'm always thinking about ways to share my knowledge. At the end of the day, what's the purpose of learning so much if it's not for sharing?

We just dropped a new video over at Taskdrive that I'm super excited for you to check out. In it, I dive into the art of writing prompts for Midjourney, revealing the fascinating differences in outcomes between basic and complex prompts.

And there's more where that came from! Keep your eyes open for our upcoming webinars. We're going to explore Midjourney even further, especially now that we have consistent characters to play with. It's going to be an incredible journey, and I can't wait to share it!

One Prompt

Ever thought you could chat with AI like it’s a friend trying to give its best? Here's how to sprinkle a little emotional magic into your conversations with AI models like ChatGPT to get them thinking and performing better:

  1. Asking It to Judge Itself: Start by saying, "Hey AI, on a scale from 1 to 10, how confident are you in your last answer?" This makes the AI to pause and consider the reliability of its information. It’s like asking a friend if they’re guessing or they know for sure.

  2. Making It Feel a Bit Guilty: Try, "I was really counting on you for a better answer. Can we give it another shot?" This is gently asking the AI to focus more and try harder, almost like motivating a friend who’s not putting in enough effort.

  3. Guessing Games: Ask, "What would be your best guess here?" Encouraging the AI to take a guess makes it dig deeper into its knowledge base, even if it’s not certain. It’s like challenging a buddy to take a leap with their best hunch.

  4. Double-Checking: "Could you double-check your facts just to be sure?" This asks the AI to review its response for accuracy, similar to reminding a friend to check their work for mistakes.

  5. Sharing Its Thoughts: Say, "Can you share what you’re thinking right now?" By asking the AI to expose its thought process, you get insight into how it’s trying to solve the question, much like peeking into someone’s brain as they puzzle through a problem.

  6. Mixing Emotions: Combining these emotional prompts, like asking for a double-check then expressing a need for accuracy, can be hit or miss. It’s like mixing different coaching techniques to see what motivates your friend the best.

  7. Seeing Itself in the Mirror: Reflecting on, "How do you think you’re doing?" makes the AI consider its performance from a new perspective, like asking someone to self-reflect on their actions.

  8. Getting Stronger from Challenges: Suggest, "This is a tough one, but getting it right could really improve your skills." This is about challenging the AI with tough questions that encourage growth, just as overcoming obstacles makes us stronger.

  9. Always Trying to Do Better: For longer tasks, saying, "Let’s aim for excellence from start to finish on this." helps maintain the AI’s focus and quality throughout, similar to coaching someone to stay disciplined and not lose steam.

Chatting with AI using these emotional tactics makes the interaction more engaging and can lead to surprisingly better outcomes, all while having a bit of fun seeing how "human" an AI can act.

Try it out and let me know the outcome!
