Synthesia 2.0 is introduced as the world's first AI video communications platform for business. It offers new features such as Personal AI Avatars, AI Video Assistant, AI Screen Recorder, and a new video player.
The platform aims to transition businesses to a video-first world and drive real business outcomes. Synthesia also emphasizes AI safety and is on track to achieve ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
TIME and OpenAI have announced a strategic content partnership, allowing OpenAI to access TIME's extensive archives to improve its products.
The partnership aims to expand global access to trusted information and support reputable journalism by providing proper attribution to original sources. TIME will also gain access to OpenAI's technology to develop new products and provide feedback to shape the future of news experiences.
CriticGPT, a model based on GPT-4, helps trainers spot mistakes in ChatGPT's code output. Trainers using CriticGPT outperform those without help 60% of the time. Integrating CriticGPT-like models aims to evaluate outputs from advanced AI systems and provide better tools for trainers.
CriticGPT's suggestions help catch more problems and produce more comprehensive critiques while reducing hallucinations. However, limitations include the need for methods to understand long and complex tasks, the presence of hallucinations, and the challenge of evaluating complex tasks or responses.
One Guide : Contrarian Prompts for Content Creation
In this edition, I'm excited to share a valuable tip for improving your content by incorporating contrarian viewpoints. This guide is thanks to my friend, Stephen Shortt, who introduced me to this technique. Thank you Stephen!
By exploring counter-narratives, you can strengthen your arguments and address potential criticisms, making your content more robust and well-rounded.
Overview
The contrarian prompt technique involves asking ChatGPT to provide counterarguments to your main statement. This helps you anticipate criticisms and develop stronger, more persuasive content. Whether you're writing a book, article, or blog post, this method ensures your work is comprehensive and considers multiple perspectives.
How to Use Contrarian Prompts
Step 1: Formulate Your Main Statement
Start with a clear statement or argument related to your topic.
Example: "AI virtual assistants significantly improve customer satisfaction by providing quick and efficient service."
Step 2: Create the Contrarian Prompt
Use the following template to ask ChatGPT for contrarian viewpoints:
Prompt:
I am working on a [book/article/blog post] about [your topic]. I would like to explore some counter-narratives or contrarian viewpoints to strengthen my content and address potential criticisms. Can you provide me with five contrarian perspectives or arguments against the following statement: '[Insert your main statement or argument here]'? Please ensure the responses are detailed and consider different angles, such as ethical, practical, financial, and societal implications.
Example usage:
I am working on a book about the benefits of AI virtual assistants in customer service. I would like to explore some counter-narratives to strengthen my content and address potential criticisms. Can you provide me with five contrarian perspectives or arguments against the statement: 'AI virtual assistants significantly improve customer satisfaction by providing quick and efficient service'? Please ensure the responses are detailed and consider different angles, such as ethical, practical, financial, and societal implications.
Step 3: Analyze the Contrarian Viewpoints
Review the counterarguments provided by ChatGPT.
Consider how these viewpoints can be addressed or incorporated into your content to make it more balanced and persuasive.
Step 4: Integrate Counterarguments
Use the insights from the contrarian viewpoints to strengthen your arguments.
Address potential criticisms directly in your content, showcasing your thorough understanding of the topic.
Use this if you want to:
Strengthen your main argument by considering potential criticisms.
Build counterarguments to support your content.
Focus on a specific argument and prepare for objections.
Conclusion
Incorporating contrarian viewpoints into your content creation process can significantly enhance the quality and depth of your work. By anticipating and addressing counterarguments, you ensure that your content is not only persuasive but also comprehensive and well-rounded. Give it a try and see how it transforms your writing!
One Prompt: Contrarian Perspectives
Following my guide on using contrarian prompts to improve your content, I'm sharing a specific prompt to help you gather diverse viewpoints.
Use this prompt with ChatGPT to explore counter-narratives and address potential criticisms, ensuring your work is comprehensive and considers multiple perspectives.
Example of Contrarian Prompt for Diverse Topics
Prompt:
"I am preparing content on [topic] and I want to ensure it is well-rounded by including counter-narratives. Can you provide five detailed contrarian viewpoints on the statement: '[Insert statement or claim here]'? Please approach this from multiple perspectives, such as ethical concerns, practical limitations, economic implications, and potential societal impacts."
Example Usage:
"I am writing an article on the advantages of electric vehicles. I want to ensure it is well-rounded by including counter-narratives. Can you provide five detailed contrarian viewpoints on the statement: 'Electric vehicles are the best solution for reducing carbon emissions in urban areas'? Please approach this from multiple perspectives, such as ethical concerns, practical limitations, economic implications, and potential societal impacts."
Use this if you want to:
Provide a balanced view by showing different sides of a topic.
Explore various angles and opinions on a subject.
Ensure your content is thorough and covers multiple perspectives.
By using this prompt, you'll be able to gather a variety of viewpoints, helping you to create more balanced and persuasive content. Happy writing!
